Sunstate Electrical has been operating since 1986. During this period, we have developed a loyal customer base, built on our quality of workmanship. Our employees are highly experienced and skilled electricians and engineers with many years’ experience in the electrical industry.

Sunstate Electrical provides electrical services to mines, the manufacturing sector, electrical distributors, electrical generators, hospitals, airports, sugar mills and port authorities.

We represent well known and highly specialised companies in the high voltage and medium voltage industries we provide product support, after sales service and training to our customers.

Not only do we supply electrical test equipment, we also undertake testing, commissioning and construction services for utilities, generation and industrial consumers.

We undertake work in:

Gary has over 40 years’ experience in the electrical industry undertaking installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance. He is highly regarded and sought after for his expertise in the industry.

Gary’s strengths lie in his ability to execute projects, problem solve and deliver quality products and outcomes. These attributes have led Gary to create an electrical business with a strong core of high voltage experience and diversity.

Gary’s many years of experience, various projects in various industry sectors gives him the confidence and knowledge to meet any challenges or opportunities that may arise.

Project Experience

• Extensive experience with protection relays manufactured by Schneider, Alstom, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, ABB, GE, P&B Gold, GEC, Midos, Areva and Siemens.

• Carried out HV electrical testing, commissioning and maintenance on various types of HV electrical equipment in the mining industry, manufacturing sectors, defence, hospitals and research centres, universities, airports, sugar mills, port authorities, power generation, renewable energy and transmission and distribution entities.

• Extensive experience in testing, commissioning and maintenance of 6.6kV to 275kV switchgear and transformers.
